The rock dwellings in Brhlovce are a unique monument of folk architecture. For centuries, local inhabitants have carved houses, cellars and outbuildings into the soft volcanic tuff. One of the rock homesteads (house No. 142) is now an exhibition of the Tekov Museum, which faithfully depicts the life of a family in a rock dwelling with preserved period furnishings. Brhlovce is declared a conservation area of folk architecture.
