The Mlyňany Arboretum is an extensive park (67 ha) with a collection of over 2,000 species of exotic trees, mainly evergreens. It was founded in 1892 by Count Štefan Ambrózy-Migazzi and today belongs to the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Visitors can stroll through the thematic sections of the park (Asian, North American, Mediterranean flora and others) and admire the massive redwoods, cedars and rhododendrons. The Arboretum is a popular destination for nature and botany lovers all year round.
