The ruins of Levice Castle from the 13th century are located in the centre of Levice. The castle used to be an important anti-Turkish fortress, today it houses the Tekov Museum with expositions of the region's history. Parts of the castle walls and the Renaissance manor house have been preserved, where archaeological finds, weapons and other historical exhibits are on display.
